• All HOME plans are 'Unlimited' (Shaped) plans, offering 'full speed' access up to the specified download quota.
• Downloading of metered data beyond the specified Download Quota may result in your download speed being reduced to 56 kilobits per second until the end of your charging period
• All plans are Dynamic IP services, intended for home broadband access.
• While NetYP does not block IP ports and servers may technically be run on these plans, NetYP recommends the use of SOHO ADSL plans for server and VPN applications.
• These plans are 'Layer 2' services using the PPP protocol via PPPoE or PPPoA to connect.
• Always-available connection - Connect anytime, no busy signals, dedicated connection to the Internet.
• Use your phone concurrently - Telephone line can place and receive calls concurrently - no second line needed!

[1] Some ADSL providers provide different usage allocations for different time bands. We let you use your connection whenever you want without penalty.

[2] Some other ADSL service providers assess and charge for both upload and download data on your ADSL connection. This means that applications which send and receive data concurrently (such as online games) are effectively double-charged. NetYP assesses usage only in the 'download' (Internet-to-customer) direction, and traffic returned from the customer to the Internet is FREE.

Limitations

• No resale of bandwidth - Access provided for personal and immediate family use only.

• $65 early termination fee if service is cancelled within 6 months.
• Monthly payments may only be made via credit card, paid in advance.
• Invoices can only be issued on a quarterly basis, paid in advance.
• NetYP recommend monthly credit card payments as quarterly invoiced services can only be modified at the end of the current quarter, meaning that a waiting period for any requested change may be up to 3 months.
• NetYP services are non-refundable.
• Additional limitations are noted below in the notes section.
• Conditions may change - If service conditions are changed in the future, customers will be permitted to cease using the service without penalty if the new conditions are not accepted.

Notes

ADSL account application notes

When you apply for ADSL, you should be aware of certain obligations and conditions once the order form is received by NetYP.

Firstly, please be aware that when you sign the application form you are signing to say that you acknowledge and accept the NetYP Terms and Conditions and the NetYPADSL Service Specification documents. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.

The Home ADSL early termination fee

The Home ADSL service is normally provisioned within 21 days and activated by NetYP no later that 7 days thereafter at which time NetYP will commence billing the customer.

Customers wishing to terminate their ADSL service with NetYP prior to the end of the first six months from activation date are liable to pay an early termination fee of $65.

Automatic Home ADSL Service Cancellations

Please be aware that your NetYP ADSL service will be automatically cancelled by Telstra and a new ADSL service will need to be ordered by you (including a new $129 Activation fee):

• When your Telephone account is cancelled.
• When you shift location (even if taking the same number with you).
• If you order an ADSL-incompatible product on the line ADSL is delivered on.

We strongly advise that you contact our Sales department to discuss any pending changes to your phone service prior to making those changes.

Billing

NetYP recommends monthly credit card payments as any requested changes to services (such as changing Plan) can only be actioned at the start of the next billing period, as per our Terms and Conditions. Also, if selecting quarterly invoicing, the first quarterly service charge plus activation fee and any hardware charges must be paid in full before NetYP can activate the service - please talk to an NetYP Sales Representative for further information.

For monthly accounts, the setup fee, hardware and first monthly fee will be charged to your Credit Card upon service activation. NetYP accepts cash, cheque, money orders and major credit cards to pay an invoice. NetYP services are non-refundable.

Notification

Tax invoices, NetYP Bulletins and automated data usage warning messages are sent to your NetYP email address.

Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your NetYP email address.

Web Space and additional email addresses

Once your ADSL service has been activated, you are entitled to 50MB of personal non-commercial webspace and up to an additional 4 email boxes.
