NetYP VoiP

NetYP as introduced a new service to members Email Filtering ! for $2.50 a month. Please email accounts@netyp.com if you would like this service.

Your email will be  scanned & Spam sorted automatically.
How to set it UP !

The email executable files are blocked, if you need files emailed you need to ask for them to be Zipped. If you are sent an executable file you will get this message.
Spam rules will be tuned automatically each night.
This service relies on filter tuning. NetYP does NOT guarantee this service!
The mail scanning does not mean you don't need a antivirus programme on your computer! It also means that some mail might be classified as Spam & rejected, but this is dependant on the mail content and is beyond the control of NetYP.

You mail will be scanned for Spam automatically, each mail is given a score this determines the probe ability. Any message with a score greater than 5 is sent to the "Spam Bin" folder in your in box,  7-9 is sent to the "Spam Medium" folder in your in box, 10> is sent to the "Spam High" folder in your in box. To make it easy for you the message subject has [Spam] 6.86  added the number will be different for each message depending on its content.

You can request that your mail  scored above the score level you chose be automatically Deleted

Any mail left in the Spam Bin that must be deleted. You have a 100mb mail box limit.

To check your "Spam" folders log onto web mail don't forget to select the Spam Check server

That is all you need to do your mail will automatically be filtered removing >90% of all spam before you download it.

If you want to use the  advanced features, You have two methods to read sorting/filtering your Spam.

Use web mail to set up you filter rules or set-up IMAP on your computer in Outlook or Outlook Express.

Help on making it all work
Using  web mail is the easiest, you leave you mail on the server for a week or so, so each night the filter rules can be checked against the mail in the folders.

When your email arrives in the inbox & you want to classify it as Spam move that email to the Spam folder. Each night the server will check the contents of that folder & filter your mail into the Spam Bin automatically.

You will need to check your Spam Bin folder to make sure that it has not incorrectly filtered any wanted mail. If this happens then shift that mail message into the Non Spam mail box. Next night the server will re classify that mail and not mark similar messages as Spam allowing it in to your inbox. This "tuning" of the automatic function will take a week to a month depending on the volume & type of mail content you receive.

After you have "tuned" the Spam Filter you can continue to use IMAP or POP to collect your mail from the server.
